What I did today.
Today I worked on my Final project. I am barely on my first picture which is kind of a bummer since I'm running out of time. Although it looks great, I think I should get started on my other pictures..

Reflection on today.
Today I worked somewhat on Illustrator. It was very confusing! I get frustrated easily and you might imagine how I felt trying out this new system. I tried creating a landscape using vector art. I barely made it to step 5. I hope I can soon comprehend. I also learned the difference between vector vs. pixel.

Today, I did not get all of my work finished. I still need to complete some of my previous tasks and I also need to finish my food face.

November 16, 2010
So today was a interesting day. Firstly, we read an article and discussed it with a partner. We then typed a 250-500 short summary about what our opinions are. Afterwards, we worked on our previous work that we didn't have time to finish.

Spectrometry Lab
Today, we did a lab. It had to do with spectrometry and colors. We also had to answer the following questions:
- How do you think the Spectrometer works?
It might use some sort of laser radiation that reads the amounts of color.
- Were there any unexpected results? What were they?
I don't think there were any unexpected results.
- Were there any differences between the different printers?
There were some small differences but nothing major.
- Compare the printed color sheet to the one linked in the blog. What differences due you notice in the RGB display versus the CMYK printout.
The colors are brighter and more vivid.
- Did you notice the Hex Codes for each color. Would you say Hex codes have more in common with RGB or CMYK? Explain.
They are more similar to RGB.
- Do you think the use of spectrometry is important for publishers? Why or why not?
Yes, It is important because they need he right code or they wont get proper results.
- What sort of consequences may arise if spectrometers were not used in publishing?
None of the colors would be right and there could also be little or no contrast so it would be very difficult to read the text.

iPhoto Challenge!
We were given two pictures. One we had to start out with and the second one we needed to try to get the same results by editing. Here is the original picture:
And here is the one that Mr.W did:
And the one that I did:
And the one that I did:
To get similar results, I enhanced it, I put boost color to four, added a vignette, and edge blurred on two. I also made the temperature lower, made the tint higher, and added more exposure and saturation.

October 25, 2010.
Today I learned about colors and lights and spectrometers and how you can mix certain colors to create another one. We also edited pictures using iPhoto. I think i might need more help with this whole color thing and spectrometers. We also made a table showing what type of colors you can mix to make a specific color. The word color was used a lot today.(:

October Fourth
Today was not a very good day. First off my brochure got erased except for the cover page. I had to start all over. Secondly, I wanted to put a picture but I couldn't since it wouldn't let me highlight it. Oh well. Although my brochure got erased, I got something done.

First Six Weeks
Ahem, I think this Six weeks has been vital to our knowledge in Multimedia. We have learned a lot like for example, how to create a blog. We have also learned how to create an avatar, by the way, mine is amazing. I now know how to create an itinerary. I feel that my understanding with computers and the internet has greatly increased. It feels like a whole new environment using Macs since I have grown up using other kinds of comuputers.
September 28, 2010
Today I came into Multimedia Class, expecting to work on my itinerary. When I looked for it on the desktop folders, It was gone! I heard Mr. W saying that some people had come in and worked on the computers and deleted everything. I highly dislike those people right now..

Madagascar Brochure Part Dos
Ehh, Today was an okay day. I did find out how to shadow and fix up tables and charts. I didn't get very far into the brochure though. I'm not going to have much of a bibliography since I don't have many Images yet. Although, the Bibliography does look good. I hope I get farther next time...

Madagascar Brochure Part 1
Whelp, I've been coming along. Some good things while others not so good. My cover is amazing. By my opinion anyway. Although I did forget to put the whole thing in brochure format so I screwed up there, but Mr. W said not to worry. So, no worries(: I have a feeling that my brochure will be awesome...

We will use the following citation formats: In-text citation + Work Cited Footnote Endnote

Madagascar.
At first, I wanted to do Antarctica but its a continent not a country so I couldn't. I also wanted to do Italy but someone else had already chosen that country. Then Madagascar popped in my head, so I asked if Madagascar had been chosen and Mr. W said no so I chose Madagascar. I chose Madagascar because lemurs live there.
Netiquette scenario responses.
Scenario #1 – A student sends a harassing e-mail to another student. The receiving student
retaliates with a “flaming e-mail.” Is this the appropriate response? If not, what would be? Don’t respond to threatening or inappropriate messages. Report persistent abusers to your parents or system administrator.
Scenario #2 – When hanging out with friends, one of the students makes a call on their cellphone and carries on a conversation while still within the group. Is this ok? Why or why not? Yes, it is okay to do so but it would be rude.
Scenario #3 – A student logs on to a free file sharing website and downloads a song they just heard on the radio. Is this ok? Why or why not? If you download and distribute copyrighted music, videos, games or other materials over the Internet without proper payment or permission, you are stealing.
Scenario #4 – A student follows a questionable link to a website and downloads a malicious script which releases a Trojan Horse virus on to the school network. Is the student to blame? Why or why not? He should've asked the teacher for permission before downloading the link to the website.
Scenario #5 – An hour before class, a student remembers that a writing assignment is due. The student goes to the library, logs on to a website, and copies/pastes the information. Is this ok? Why or why not? No, Its not alright because its plagiarism.
Scenario #6 – At home, a student uses a software package to copy movies and games from DVD’s for his or her friends. Is this within fair-use laws? Explain. If you download and distribute copyrighted music, videos, games or other materials over the Internet without proper payment or permission, you are stealing.
Scenario #7 – A student logs into the school website to download the syllabus they lost. Are they breaking any rules or laws? Explain. You should get permission even though you are not breaking any laws... I think.
Scenario #8 – Students spend a good amount of time in class creating a web page for a school sponsored fundraiser. However, there website is not usable by certain individuals with disabilities. Was this disrespectful or wrong of them? It was disrespectful.

Blogging.
I have finally finished creating and perfecting my blog. I had a lot of difficulties, especially with my avatar. I had to confirm my e-mail and that alone took me about thirty minutes. Well, now I am finished. Thank God.
Avatar.
I finally finished my avatar, he didn't get to keep his cool hair since it cost too much. Oh well.. He also didn't get to keep his flying pet since that, too, cost a lot. Overall, I think I did a pretty good job creating my avatar.
Computer Hunt :DD
I was asked to do a computer hunt for multimedia class on August 26. I came along but it took some time. I needed help on a few of the questions, but in the end I finished. These are the questions we were asked:
Open the Survey Results. Which chart do you find most interesting? And why?
I thought the chart that said how many people knew how to use each program was the most interesting because plenty of people put that they don’t know how to use anything. This is surprising to me because I don’t own a Mac, and I don’t use one often, but I still know how to use some programs.
What operating system are we running?
Mac OS X Software

The clocks in the classroom are not accurate. One of them does not work, so it is not accurate at all, and the other one is a little bit close to being accurate. Maybe 10 minutes.
How many trash cans are in the room?
Two
What programs are part of iWork?
Keynote, Numbers, and Pages
What is Keynote? What program would you compare it to on a PC?
You can use Keynote for presentations and projects. Kind of like Powerpoint.

There is a map on the door in which you enter the room. It shows the evacuation route in case of a fire. How are the primary and secondary routes different?
There is one primary route (the one we normally use), and one secondary route(in case the first one is being blocked or something).
